How to be an Ally?

Pride Month is not just about the rainbows and glitters โ€” it is a protest. As we end ๐๐‘๐ˆ๐’๐Œ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ: ๐€๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž ๐๐ฎ๐ž๐ž๐ซ ๐’๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐„๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ, we are starting a movement where these stories are elevated and heard to raise awareness of the communityโ€™s struggles, to celebrate their successes and to reclaim the spaces and visibility they deserve.

Until today, the LGBTQIA+ community still faces a lot of injustices, unfair prejudices, and discrimination in the society. With this, it is important that we know how to speak against these, how to act accordingly, or how to be a better ally. As we read the ways below, may we all be reminded that the term ally is not just a label โ€” we follow processes and take actions for being one.

Let us not stop at Pride Month, because the fight for equality, justice, and freedom does not end as the calendar turns.
